Our Projects
Cemetery Preservation
We are dedicated to preserving the integrity of cemeteries in West Georgia through cleaning and repair efforts. Our team of committed volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that these cemeteries serve as a lasting legacy to our ancestors.
When cleaning headstones, it's essential to stay flexible and manage your expectations about achieving a "perfect stone" appearance. Remember, old gravestones don't need to look brand new. The cleaning process should focus on removing plant growth and soil that could contribute to stone corrosion.
Obutaries
Our Obituary Project offers users a glimpse into the lives of individuals interred in our cemeteries. Each link directs users to an obituary or additional genealogical information for each person.
If you have an obituary for any of our deceased individuals, please visit our contact page to share it with us.
Walking Tours
Our members are currently working on a brochure for a self-guided walk through Old Villa Rica and Hillcrest Cemeteries.
